During times of severe weather, please stay tuned to KAAL-TV 6 and KIMT-TV 3, as well as KIOW 107.3 FM for announcements of cancellations of church events or worship services. Efforts will also be made to post any church-related cancellations on the Church Website (emmonslutheran.org) and/or the Church Facebook Page. Please note that, effective immediately, cancellation notices will no longer be available on KATE 1450 AM due to difficulty we have had in contacting the station and getting announcements on the air.
Be aware that depending upon the weather, Sunday School may be cancelled, but we will still have worship services. If Worship Services are cancelled, Sunday School will always be cancelled.
Confirmation Students and K-6th Grade Youth Group members are reminded if school is cancelled or released early in the Lake Mills, Iowa School District due to winter weather, all Youth activity at Emmons Lutheran Church are automatically cancelled for that day.
If you do not see Emmons Lutheran Church listed among the “E’s”, it may be listed under “Lutheran.” Please be certain to thoroughly check all listings before you head out in severe weather. If you are in doubt, please call Pastor Henkel or a church council member.
