Sign-up to attend a Congregational Bowling afternoon to be held March 12th at 2 pm in Forest City. The sign-up sheet is in the Narthex on the bulletin board. Youth are free and adults will be free-will offering. We will meet at Super Bowl at 2 pm. Deadline for sign-up is March 6th.

Altar Flowers are shared with us this morning by Mark and Katie Stene in honor of Carmen’s birthday.

Bulletin is sponsored today from the family of Kenneth Lamping in honor of his 80th birthday.

We invite you to join us for a new Bible Study series on “The Chosen” television drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, portraying Jesus “through the eyes of those who met him.” We will meet on Tuesday evenings in the Small Social Hall at 6 pm with a light supper and will start each episode at 6:30 pm with discussion to follow. Invite your family and friends along for this exciting journey through the life of Jesus. If you are unable to attend Tuesday evenings, we will also offer this study on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am.

Easter Lilies: if you would like to sponsor an Easter Lily for our Sanctuary on Easter Sunday, please sign up on the bulletin board in the Narthex or call the church office before March 19th. Please let the church office know if you would be willing to sponsor an Easter Lily for our shut-ins. Cost of the lilies are $20.

Lenten Services: continue every Wednesday at 12 pm and 7 pm until Holy Week. Lenten Suppers will be served in the Large Social Hall from 6-7 pm before Worship. This Wednesday, March 8th, our supper will be pizzas, served by Luther League and Sunday School Youth.

Easter Breakfast Sign-up Sheet for workers to help with the Easter Breakfast to be served between 8 am and 9:30 am on April 9th.

Attention: Anyone looking to learn basic quilting techniques: Linette Kleinschrodt is teaching a class on Thursday Evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm. in the Large Social Hall. The class is open to both adults and youth.

Last day of Quilting will be Saturday, March 11th from 9 am to 12 pm.

Every week we will be decorating our altar with flowers. If you would like to sponsor these flowers, please sign up in the Narthex or contact the church office. $30 per Sunday (two bouquets of flowers) which can be taken home after worship has concluded.

Community Related

The Mills” Theater is showing: “Jesus Revolution”

  • A true story of national spiritual awakening in the early 1970’s and its origins within a community of teenage hippies in Southern California. Inspirited by a true movement, Jesus Revolution tells the story of a young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) being raised by his struggling mother, Charlene (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) in the 1970s.

Good Neighbor Card Party: Sunday, March 12th, at 6 pm. At the Twin Lakes Fire Hall. Registration is at 6 pm with Progressive 500 game beginning at 6:30 pm. Bring a snack to share. Prizes will be awarded.

SAIL Exercise class:

  • FREE fitness class that is designed for older adults. Focus on: Strength, flexibility, balance, low impact aerobics
  • Monday’s and Thursday’s from 9:30-10:30 AM at Emmons LC in the large social hall
